Abstract:
Note that (free) registration is required to access this resource. Register as a coach, then navigate to 'Weekly Lessons'. This is a collection of lesson plans that span the first 5 weeks of an FLL season. These lessons are based on the idea of first learning basic building and programming skills, then working towards looking at the problem as a whole. Once all the team members have a grasp on the building and programming basics, then they can take a top-down approach to solving any challenge. It is best that you NOT start out the team by immediately trying to solve the Challenge. These lesson plans were created as a guide for coaches and teams who have not participated previously. The pace at which your team moves through these lesson plans will depend upon their experience with both LEGOs and programming.
